We are best known for our Unique Flavours. imagine Dragonfruit + Lychee, Rosewater Meringue, Pistachio, Cookies + Cream plus many more, our flavours change daily and our homemade gelato is always made fresh.

If you are looking more a more ‘vanilla’ experience we also have the cult favourites like chocolate, strawberry and bubblegum too.

Enjoy with a view! Our iconic location just meters from the incredible point lookout headland, overlooks Frenchmans Beach where the whales pass through in the winter! Regularly occupied by kangaroos, get cozy with the locals, sit back and relax on Straddie time.

    There are no words to describe how incredible the gelato here is! I’ve travelled across Italy and this place is hands down the best in the world. Puts Messina, Anita etc. to shame. Went twice a day for 3 days and between us tasted 16 flavours. Would reccomend folk travel to here from Brisbane for the day it is so good! Thanks Whale Tail team! Coffee is also some of the best in Australia and great deal with coffee + toastie for $10.

    Chris was welcomed by 3 little faces pressed into the window just before 7am daily for the last 4 days. The shop was well presented and he greeted the kids with such enthusiasm. He absolutely made their day, day after day!!! They loved having to guess each flavours and the mermaid tails on top of gelato was a real treat. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and trip to Stradbroke. Definitely a highlight for the littlest in our family, no complaints from the adults for morning coffees and fresh juices either. Thank you so much. Amazing business and service xx

    We had three cones during our stay and tastings were not an issue. Not sure if they’ve changed their policy on this but the kids were allowed to try before we bought and my sons were thrilled with their flavours. The quality value and service was all great.
