Who we are

Whale Tail Gelati is locally owned and operated by long term Island residents. A small family business with community at their core, owners Peta and Chris are passionate about fresh produce, great service and supporting local!

Peta was a ‘Gelati Angel’ for almost a decade before the opportunity came along to take the reigns and take on the ownership of the business.

She has a real passion for service and making Whale Tail a place that residents and holiday makers remember for the happy staff that look after them. One of Petas goals is to be able to offer the store as a ‘first job’ for as many of the local kids as possible so that they can get an idea of work and work ethic in a fun but busy atmosphere sorrounded by supportive workmates.

Peta is also a busy mum of two and Mia and Jude have now become quite the gelati connoisseurs.
